Best things to do in Nusa Lembongan
DEVIL’S TEAR, Nusa Lembongan
Situated just 10 minutes away from Casa del Mar is the awe-inspiring Devil’s Tears. Touted as one of Nusa Lembongans’ crowd favourites, this untamed masterpiece will grab your attention and keep it. Swirling water is constant at Devil’s Tears. However, this gem is the perfect place to marvel at sluggish sea turtles breaching for fresh island air. Bigger swells and high tides cause the natural blow hole to rumble and erupt, sending sea spray to the heavens. A sight that you will not easily forget. Visiting this iconic landmark at sunset is a must. The reward of scenic cliff-top strolls and idyllic skies is oh-so-sweet.

BEACH DAYS
Nusa Lembongan has no shortage of beautiful beaches with tropical landscapes. Exploring can be tiring; nothing beats cooling off in clear, turquoise water. Most of the beaches are swimmer friendly and have ample space for sunbathing. Some of our favourites stretches of golden sand include;
Sandy Bay
Located just 5 minutes away from Casa Del Mar is Sandy Bay Beach Club. Although not a swimming beach, Sandy Bay is absolutely stunning and has an oceanfront pool, perfect for those sunny days and renowned for its sunset sessions. If the tide allows, take a short walk through the rock pools and enjoy the sand between your toes. Follow this up with some delicious food or one of their signature cocktails, and call it a flawless day out.

Coconut Beach
This little slice of coastline is the perfect place to unroll your towel and get comfortable for the day. Tucked away in-between Tamarind Bay and Jungutbatu, it is easily accessible and provides entertainment for the whole family. Lower tides and small swells make for calm waters that are safe for swimming. Whether you are looking to snorkel, surf ( board hire available), or work on your tan, you will find it all here. Lago Beach Cafe is ideally positioned under a tree on the beach and serves incredible coffee as well as outstanding food. Spending your whole day on Coconut Beach is very easy with a setup like this.

Jungutbatu Beach
The surfer’s paradise of Nusa Lembongan, Jungutbatu Beach, is home to 3 of the most popular surf breaks on the island. So, if you want to surf, you are in the right place. Jungutbatu Beach is a long stretch of white sand with lapping turquoise waters, perfect for all-day beach lovers and also great for a sunrise or sunset stroll. The shoreline is littered with vibey cafes that offer incredible food and mouthwatering drinks. Most fast ferry companies arrive and depart from the Southern end of Jungutbatu beach. We suggest heading further north for a well-deserved, relaxing swim.

Dream Beach
Neighbouring the famous Devil’s Tears is Dream Beach. Taking after its name, you will surely enjoy crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, and panoramic views of the wilderness surrounding the coast. Swimming at Dream Beach is best left for the more experienced water people, as big swells and tidal swings may cause strong currents. Sand is plentiful, and therefore Dream Beach is great for laying out with your favourite book. Don’t forget your camera; the photo opportunities are endless.

Mushroom Bay
Last but not least is the family favourite, Mushroom Bay beach. Head toward the North of this sheltered cove for incredible swimming and a bunch of fun under the sun. If conditions allow, swim around the small headland towards Secret beach and bathe in the glassy waters. Hai Tide Bar and Grill and other restaurants are scattered across the shoreline, ready to serve up the best local food to satisfy your cravings.
